Monk Bar Garden Hideaway

Stayed here before and saw the availability come up. We love the location. It's 2 min walk to everything. Everything you need in the kitchen. Bed was comfy and clean. Ile bring a couple more hangers next time as hubby tried to use the lot and leave me 2. 😉 Parked on asda for £35. Cheaper than the others. The pub a couple of doors down let you park there for £5 too. I will deffo be booking again. Love the place

The glass dining room table. I don't like them but I understand they make a room look bigger. Think they would have benifitted more taking the bath out and having just a shower. But that's a big job.

It was very private, nice having the outside space to relax on a warm evening. Very well equipped, very close to town without being too close. Plenty of information should you ned to contact the property agency, would definitely stay again.

Take care on the kitchen floor the mat slips, could do with the keys marking, maybe darker blinds on the skylight as its quite bright at sunrise in the bedroom.

Great location for the City. 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and easy access to all other attractions with the City Wall. The Bungalow whilst small is ideal for a short break.

Although the hosts no longer allow pets, when we first arrived at the property there was a strong doggy smell in the living area which hopefully will disappear over time. The small courtyard area needs some tlc particularly the hanging baskets.

The location of this property is great - just a couple of hundred metres outside the city walls. It's only a few minutes' stroll in to see the Minster, and it can't be easier to get around the city centre on foot. Shops and restaurants and pubs all nearby. Very good facilities in the cottage, and lots of space for a stay of a week. Everything worked. It's bright and clean inside, and very homely. We'd recommend it to anyone who plans to visit York.

No problems with anything. It's all on ground level, so there are no stairs, which is an advantage.

The location of this garden hideaway was just perfect, it was only a 4 minute walk into the town centre, parking was just round the back in a pay and display car park which was a 5 minute walk away. The hideaway it's self was extremely homely making you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door, heating was on and lovely and clean. Would recommend and would deffinatly return in the future.
