NZBeautifully cute, it was extremely clean, comfy and quiet.
That we could only stay one night, if we could stay longer we would have, but unfortunately we had other engagements.
USThe bedding was clean. Bed was comfortable.
The exterior of the cottage was very dirty; covered with spider webs, cob webs and bird poo. The windows were also very dirty and with bird poo.No kitchen table to eat at. Had to sit on the edge of the sofa with food on the low coffee table.Wood stove heat is primary heat source.Very small oil filled heater which barely took the edge off the cold even with both bedroom doors closed.I heat with wood at my home.When I'm on vacation, I want to flip a switch.Constant bird racket on the metal roof and around the stove flue where they were nest building. Tea kettle lid was broken; had to fill the kettle through the spout. Very small shower. The curtain constantly clinging to me as I bathed. No stove but there was a two burner portable unit which was awkward to pull out from below the counter. Road noise. This place is way overpriced. I've stayed in MANY rural areas in NZ that were much, much nicer and more comfortable for $20-$30 cheaper.

NZWe had a wonderful stay. The hosts were lovely to talk to and communication was easy from start to finish. The cottage was warm and inviting — the fire heated the whole house beautifully. Everything was well presented and the super king bed was pure luxury. The location is perfect, close to St Bathans. Highly recommend and would love to return.
NZNZEden Cottage was a delight. It is simple, yet comfortable. The kitchenette, whilst small was well appointed, and was perfect for our requirements. The hot plates made very noice morning porridge and the combo oven/air fryer was easy to use and very functional. It was great to have a log burner, which was blazing away when we arrived and had plenty of kindling and cut wood to cover our four nights. I loved being able to set and light a fire again. Our bed was very comfortable and the room made snug by the thoughtful addition of a small panel heater. The shower/bathroom was clean and tidy., but bracingly chilly in the early morning (not a complaint!). The thoughtful addition of shampoo and conditioner was appreciated. We had a few interactions with the friendly hosts, namely the young farmer as he went about his chores, and delivered us some more firewood. Chloe made us welcome from the outset, and let us know about a power outage in a timely manner. We appreciated the thoughtful late check out as a safety precaution due to ice on the roads.
NZEden Cottage is a lovely wee cottage which has been beautifully renovated. On arrival the fire was going so it was warm and cosy. The kitchen supplied everything we needed and king size bed was very comfortable. It has a lovely rural outlook which suited us well. Although it was close to the hosts home it was very quiet and relaxing.
