Deluxe Dammuso in Centro Storico

The only plus is that it is not hot in this basement in summer.

The basement is located near the roadway, very loud noise from the street prevents you from sleeping. The windows are bad and do not reduce noise even from the voices of passers-by. There is no ventilation and exhaust hood in the kitchen, all the smells are always inside. Broken shower head and rusty shelves. Stains on the walls. A badly worn frying pan, no pancake whisk, a dirty and small refrigerator, water from the sink drains onto the floor. Nothing deluxe here. The price is too high for such quality.

Excellent location, steps from the historic centre of town, parking was easy. Layout a bit strange . Said it sleeps 6, but there are only two double beds. We are 4. My older son slept on the sofa with no sheets provided. Apartment and furnishings have been updated, but there are issues with mold. The manager was kind and reactive to all requests. The drain in the kitchen is faulty so water pools and you have to use a sponge to mop up water and then carefully wring it directly into the drain. The counter in the bathroom is wood, not sure this is perhaps temporary, there is black mold under the handle of the faucet. Really lovely designed apartment in many ways, the tiles and the walls are beautiful and you can see there is thought put into it. The beds are very comfortable. Perhaps a dehumidifier and some minor repairs would be in order. The location is terrific to visit Noto and the surrounding areas.

Location is great, on street parking in via Roma no problem, good beds and sofa…

No daylight, felt a bit like living in a cave. Probably nice during the summer heat, but personally I started to miss an outside view…

The apartment is stunning and easily comfortable for 4 people. The location was great and always got parked along the road. We were able to self cater all week. The patio area was great for the smokers of our group but unfortunately it’s covered so no view.

Although the owner has tried hard to make this appartement beautiful , not everything is as functional as it could be. If you’re self catering , there is only a stove top so you’ll need to take this into account. A microwave would have been helpful. The write up gives an impression of an outdoor space - patio with courtyard view which is not strictly true.

Well located, spacious, full of character. Walking distance to the historic centre and good restaurants.
