Cosy entire one bedroom hideaway

Clean peaceful and quiet. Tv with Netflix and WiFi was good so we were comfortable and it was in a quiet location

The sofa bed was uncomfortable as it had a hard gap down the middle. There needed to be more pillows and bedding left at the property but these were provided on request.

Not much

That if you are elderly and can't climb over the high-sided bathtub you can't shower, needed to wash in the bathroom sink. Couldn't use grill and stove, dirty grill tray left in oven and the grill, oven and range hood greasy. Owner claimed it was professionally cleaned when we complained. The manager we dealt with was friendly and accommodating and was prepared to have cleaner return but had to leave as couldn't access shower. Was not told before paying we couldn't have family or a friend visit in the unit,without the expess permission of owner, or that we were not permitted to wear shoes in the apartment. Should have been disclosed prior to booking. The melted hair-dryer was the icing on the cake!

Ground floor so had a few issues with insects and bugs but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The only bonus we could find was that it was a quiet flat and we could find parking outside.

I'm sorry but this is the grubbiest accomodation I have stayed in. The hosts do state in their message to contact them should we need anything, but the flat should not be as dirty as it was to start with. If it wasn't for the fact it would have been hard work for the people I took (one is disbled) then I would have looked for alternative accomodation. I booked for three people. The double bed was made up with damp bedding which stank. The bedding for the sofabed wasn't made up. We found some in the wardrobe which also stank of damp. We managed to find a single duvet cover that we could lay over the bedsheet that was damp. The washing machine was full of wet bedding, so clearly thats why it all smells. The oven and extractor fan was filthy, the cutlery drawer was in disarray with old food inside and not a teaspoon in sight. The two top food cupboards stunk of curry/spices when opened. One had lots of leftover food and the other with cups, plates etc. Something weird was going on with the ceiling in the kitchen, god knows what it was. The bathrrom was dangerous, it was a shower over the bath not a shower as stated. No bath mat, so I had to put a towel in the bottom of the bath so my disabled friend had less chance of slipping when showering. No grab handles at all to get in and out. The flush on the toilet was debatable and loads of dead ants down to the side of it. No decent ventilation in the bathroom for steam so I went to open the window but alas the handle was dodgy. The hearth in the fireplace was covered over with a rug. My mother (77yrs) didn't notice the lump it was hiding and tripped. It could have ended up nasty! I paid £165 for two nights, so although not the most expensive, I would still expect a certainlevel of cleanliness.
