Cantika Zest Guest House

Balinese owned in a new growth area focused on traditional buildings and care of the natural surroundings. It is part of the beautiful Cantika Zest project, so walking next door for brilliant massages and other treatments is a real bonus.

The women who run the place are lovely and made our stay feel like home. We even made a small altar with Ganesh and Shiva (gifted to us from our yoga teacher training) and when they cleaned our room they left little flower offerings in front of it. The amenities were good. No blocked drains or poor water pressure from the taps, shower or bidet. All worked very well.

Only thing is noise. Sometimes the owner’s dogs were barking thru the night. Others staying in the room next door could be heard clearly. Most of our three week stay though was fine and comfortable.

What could be better is: - They don't clean daily which is common in a lot of places of Bali. I don't want to scare anyone but because the bathroom was open I saw a rat at night. Be prepared this is Bali. I don't feel that's something that the staff can do something about. Also be prepared of some chicken noises in the morning. Overall I would love to rate the place with a 7,5.

The staff were very very nice. The bed was comfortable and i like balcony and outdoor shower and toilet. The location is pretty closed to the road, the sounds of cars and motorbike is always there. I don't necessary mind about that, but if you are quite sensitive then might want to think twice.

The very thin wall between the room, you can hear everything clearly.

A very strange experience, I received an email before arriving asking for a great review and they look forward to welcome me. On arrival they said they were full and could not accommodate the booking and I’d need to move to their sister property.

Finding my bags outside the property the following day, repacked. And not secure.

The hosts were very welcoming and it was a beautiful quiet location.

The room is nice and comfortable, super clean and well furnished. Mami Jasi is such a great guest and woman ! I had so much pleasure to stay in her home. She makes everything to feel you the most confortable.

The room was extremely cozy, and I loved the owner 's attitude. Was so pleasant to chat with, felt like home. Excellent for this money!! There even was a toothbrush there

Mami’s guesthouse was my favourite part of living in Bali. Her and her staff are such gorgeous people and really make things feel like home. The room is clean, comfy, cool and really nicely decorated.

The walls are a little thin, but not an issue if you have ear plugs.
