Villa Joyia Ubud

This villa was by far one of the best places I stayed while traveling in Bali

We loved the the jacuzzi and the pool/ King size beds were very comfortable as well

Everything was great

The hot tub was definitely a highlight

Villa Joyia is stunning! We absolutely loved our time there! I can’t even describe how much we enjoyed the views and surroundings! Both the house, the surroundings and the staff are wonderful. We had a very relaxing 6night stay with friends and children. We had a driver so it was very easy to get around and we organised a chef to come each morning to make us breakfast through the Villa concierge. The Villa Concierge was also very helpful with recommendations and organising experiences for us. It is perfectly set up for up to 4 couples with so much entertaining space, four master suites and perfect facilities. For families please note that the bedrooms are seperate from the house on the top level and accessed via outdoor stairs. While this wasn’t a problem for us, it may be difficult if you have small children who are not able to use stairs independently. Families with toddlers would need to supervise 100% of the time. There are many slippery floor surfaces. We also recommend a walk up the lane to Uma Ubud for a very authentic Balinese warung (try the special ice drink) with beautiful views and a day relaxing at Kelapa Muda which is just down the road.

The property was extremely large and clean with a lot of amenities and great aircon. Pools and spa was amazing. The view to the back from the pool and spa areas is absolutely stunning.

A lot of the electronic equipment didn't work. The bedrooms can only be accessed via stairs that can only be described as a death trap. Views to adjoining properties wasn't inspiring and overall was a pricey stay. Location also wasnt great, as taxi's and couriers would always miss the villa.

- Nice location, close from the city, - spacious villa, nice for groups who wish to relax in a big villa - great jungle view - spacious and comfy bedrooms, - nice hot outdoor bathtub, - pool table is a nice one, - nice videoprojector downstairs - staff was nice and helpful (thanks mas Bagas) - coffee machine with free recharge is a nice touch - had a small issue with an AC, the staff has been super helpful and sent someone asap. on a 25th of December, I'm sure that wasnt easy, thanks for that - the smell in each bedroom is super nice :)

- Water infiltrations at some locations (living room floor 1, dining room floor 2), - no way to access the bedrooms upstairs without being wet when raining, - no sofa in the dining room which is a shame looking at the all the empty space available!! and dining chairs / bar chairs are not that comfy... - the villa is new but already you can see some upcoming construction issues (big water infiltration starting on the terrasse in front of the jaccuzzi for example, if the owner read my message, you better have a look before the all concrete of the terrasse got infiltrated) - the outdoor flooring is suuuuuuuuuuper slippery when raining (I almost fell down when coming out of the outdoor stairs...) - garden maintenance is quite bad -There is a new construction project beside the villa, some noise is to be expected in 2025. That's not their fault, nothing they can do about that, but it has to be said. 2 of the bedrooms are just in front of the project.. - no plug extension, we ask for an extension to charge their bluetooth speaker (which wasn't charged before we arrive...), but they didnt have any, not even a roll cable we could borrow - no equipment to make tea - no welcome drink (only mineral water)

Felt like a nature retreat with a luxury vibe for a good balance.

Road leading to property was blocked on day of arrival and no heads up about it from the property. We had to walk with our luggage through rocky and dirt road.

This Villa met all our expectations, this is the most beautiful property, we were all impressed, it was simply stunning the moment we walked through the beautiful entrance, the interior design, the escape from all the hustle and bustle, the location is tucked away, so lovely and quiet, with the most amazing landscape enveloping the villa, we were all so happy, we did not want to leave.

The driver had a little trouble finding the property, the road coming in is dirt with potholes, but did not bother us at all.

Poor road leading up to the apartment
