Kin Tulum House downtown

The pool was great and the location was really good, lots around and easy to get to nice places

There are two properties in this building. The pictures looked like we were going to be in the bottom property which is much more spacious than the upstairs part we were actually in. We were told the downstairs was going to be rented while we were there but it was vacant for the whole time, so we could have been in there, which was disappointing and we felt was very misleading considering what was advertised in the pictures. THERE ARE TWO ROADS WITH THE SAME NAME. We didn’t get any proper instructions as to where the actual address is and couldn’t get through to the managers through booking.com or the phone number provided, so it took us around 1.5 hours to find it. Then when we got there we called the number on the stickers on the door. They picked up and said they’d send details over but it took a while, so communication wasn’t great. No soap provided and there’s a bit of an ant problem despite us keeping it clean. The door doesn’t close properly on the toilet which isn’t great when the toilet is in another bedroom (that doesn’t have a door) and you’re sharing with friends

You get what you pay for at Kin Tulum. The price was fair compared to other listings. We were looking for something decent to spend 1 night in Tulum after attending a music festival and this house met our expectations. I liked that the house is on a quiet street and it was easy to walk a short distance to restaurants and shops.

The beds could use a proper blanket. The one provided was quite small and thin. There is no shampoo or body wash in the shower. There was no hand towel provided either. The bath towels were also quite thin but good enough for 1 stay.

We were very well Impressed as soon as we opened the 1st gate! It’s wonderful and bigger than we thought it would be! Spacious, modern and tasteful decoration. Had easy to follow procedures to enter, stayed 5 nights, didn’t have any trouble at all, loved staying here and super recomend!

Apparently there are cameras outside, I understand for safety, but it’s important to be aware 😳

The place looks exactly like on the pictures and has a washing machine. The whole floor was at our disposal together with the pool which guarantees a lot of privacy. Up the stairs there is a small area with some hammocks where you can chill in the open air. The location is close to the center, small restaurants, pubs and the local market square where you can buy some handcrafted items. Our English speaking host - Mario was also wonderful, very responsive and making sure we have everything we need. Kin Tulum House was a very good choice and a great place to stay! Thank you Mario!

Lack of a trash can but we already informed and it should be available now for the future tenants 😊
