Sun Rise Cottage

Amazing guesthouse in a quiet side lane of busy Thamel. It's peaceful, it's green, its clean and very friendly staff. Definitely worth staying here and will definitely come back. It's a hidden gem

The mother and son running the place are wonderful and really helpful and honest. The place is beautiful and the location is really convenient. The hot water was great after a long day out and the heater was really appreciated during the cold nights. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned after visiting Pokhra.

Beautiful environment and great hospitality

The location was good, just off of the main thamel area. I also liked that it had a coupon of tables to sit on outside. The lady working there was also always very nice and friendly. There was a heater in the room and there was plenty of hot water for showers.

One night there was a huge group of people staying there and they were soo loud all night. I called reception a couple of times and the older gentleman who answered did nothing. I had to go and ask the group several times to be quiet. They also have a very aggressive dog at the premises which one time nearly tried to bite me as I walked past. I got bitten a lot in the night by something - I didn't find what it was but they did appear like bed bug bites so I had treat all my clothes when I got home.
