IDPerched on the first floor of this traditional Balinese home is an immaculately modern three-room homestay which tick all the boxes for an exceptional stay experience in Payangan (bordering Ubud). The room is newly built with modern facilities, a double bed, a balcony which overlooks the majestic Mount Agung (See pictures) & sprawling garden below, hot shower facility with a bidet (believe it or not!), free wi-fi, common kitchen, complimentary morning snack, tea & coffee. The owner and his family who live in the building next door are super friendly, hospitable and accommodating. There is a western café nearby and loads of warung down the road. The best part?! The price!!! At $17 per night, this is an absolute steal!! I will come back for sure!! Highly recommended (5/5)
Don't let the exterior fool you! On arrival, the courtyard to this traditional Balinese house looks slightly abandoned. The homestay is so new so they haven't put up a business sign yet, but the owner says that the sign will be posted this week. All these are forgiven once you've entered the room with a view!
