Maritime Suite Holiday Rental II

The design is so beautiful and so comfort for us in 5 person.

There is no towel (but the owner had stated in the note before we arrive). No internet.

I stayed at Maritime during my vacation in Penang. The location was great, as most of our favourite restaurants and tourist attractions were nearby. It is also right in front of the sea, which gives a calm and relaxing vibe. The view from the unit was absolutely stunning, both during the day and at night.

However, there were several downsides. The stairs and sofa were dirty, and the sink in the living hall had a bad smell. Although we didn’t use the sink much, the smell kept coming back, possibly due to a clogged drain. Whenever we sat in the living room, the smell was very noticeable and made it difficult to eat in peace. The stairs had some stains, and the curtains and lamps near the sofa were also dirty. The upstairs toilet was not very satisfactory. The lighting was very dim, and the bidet pressure was weak, making it uncomfortable and slightly scary to use at night. Installing brighter lights would definitely help. The downstairs toilet was acceptable but could still be improved, especially the bidet. There was also a gents urinal next to the regular toilet bowl, covered with cross tape, which felt creepy and uncomfortable to be beside while using the toilet. Lastly, the air-conditioning could be improved as it was not very cooling. Overall, the location and view were great, but improvements in cleanliness and maintenance are needed to provide a more comfortable stay for future guests. Thank you ☺️

Absolutely nothing. The room was filthy apon check in. And the room is nothing like as shown. The aircon in the downstairs room didn’t work. And to make things worse they charge you for towels and the towels are old with holes and smell. Under the disguise it’s managed by the cleaner. (This isn’t true) and then they had the audacity to warn you there is a “cleaning fee” of 40 MRY if you leave a dirty plate in the dirty room. The outside hallway is a giant storage area full of mess and old sofas, cleaning products and boxes. (They don’t use the cleaning products) The manager Benjamin despite his long bio was incredibly rude and unhelpful. And when questioned about the issues replies “whatever” this isn’t a five star hotel. Well we know that! But a basic level of cleanliness and customer service is a basic requirement. And the owner isn’t any better and tells you your lying….. AVOID IF YOU KNOW WHATS BEST FOR YOU. If I could share more than 4 picture I would.

There is nothing for me to like....

1) that's no proper message sent to notify what the requirements are before we check into the premises.... after we call numerous times no answer but only reply with message.Had to wait and search for the location 2)no basic toiletries.tgere was no towels, toothbrush, toothpaste 3)linen not clean,the bedsheets had stains.... disgusting 4)there was a non functioning washing machine ,only to mislead us into believing that we could wash our clothes in that washing machine.Why keep it if it's not in function and not infirm in advance.How are we expected to wash our clothes as we booked the stay period for 3 nights 5)the rooms were very narrow and not as pictured ,no cabinets at all to keep stuff,clothes and luggage...it's ridiculous 6)no place to sit and eat ...no table 7) curtains are too thin and no privacy 8) tv has only the most basic and most boring channels 9)there are no.proper beds 10)refund of the deposit was not refunded as promised where it was supposed to be by 3pm but we had to keep messaging where only received around 7.00pm 11)not recommend
