Murrayfield Spacious 2-bedroom apartment

Lovley flat with excellent facilities. Perfect location for the rugby!

The apartment was lovely, clean and we had a great time staying there! It was not really two bedrooms but one bedroom and a very comfortable sleeping couch (suitable for two persons) in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped. The communication by the host was very good - we felt well informed and cared for. The location is quite central - there are bus-stops all around the area and most conveniently a supermarket around the corner. The house itself is very quite - we didn't meet or hear any neighbours.

As earlier reviews mention, the hallway is very old, poorly lit and kind of smelly at ground level (which does NOT transfer into the flat). If you come with heavy luggage and are not very fit, the stairs can be a challenge. The bedroom windows face a quite busy street. It is not too loud but if you are sensible to even the smallest sounds I recommend bringing earplugs.

.Excellent communication on the part of the host.. They answered my questions & were very patient, attentive & helpful. Our son said that the location was good. The apartment has been beautifully renovated.. Loved the molding & ceiling in the main bedroom.

Perhaps some of this comes from lack of travel experience . I am 67 & have mobility issues. I was so excited to find a place for 3 of us that I didn't carefully think about this apartment.I looked back at the description & didn't realize that a 2nd floor apartment would have 4 flights of winding stairs in a dark /dimly lit hallway. Would probably not have stayed here if I had known this. The steps should be mentioned in the description. It was noisy too but of course being on a main street, which I didn't realize, that makes sense. We did not use this place to the extent that was provided for us. Probably staying in a hotel would have been a better choice for what we used it for, basically a place to sleep.. It was expensive but it seemed that every place was. That is why I moved outside of the city and I should have started my search a lot sooner. I had trouble finding available places. Parking was free & that was good but it wasn't easy. And I was surprised with the added cleaning fee , that we had to get rid of the trash. Is that not part of the fee? This also could be a United Kingdom requirement as opposed to the States.It was spelled out as to where you dispose trash & that was helpful. Perhaps it appears that I am being highly critical and I am sorry for that. Again I think lack of travel experience definitely factors into my review. This was a nice place, just not the best for me but our son & my husband did fine. Thank you very much.

very clean and family atmosphere.

Excellent location 10 min walk to Murrayfield stadium and tram stop. Lots of local eateries and shops and on main bus route. Very friendly lady Fiona met us.

Kitchen was a bit cluttered and plates cups etc a bit old and mismatched.

The host was super friendly and helpful. The location is good for easy access to the city centre, however it is a noisy street. The flat is very nice and was super clean.

The mattress was very uncomfortable. The shower seals and silicone need replacing, they are mouldy. The TV doesn't work properly. Being on a busy street means you get all the noise from the street even with the windows closed.

Clean, bright and comfortable property with a lovely big shower, close to all amenities .

Once we entered the apartment it was clean with modern facilities. Nice bathroom with clean towels and clean bedlinen.

We were shocked upon first impressions upon arrival! The entrance to the property could be easily made more welcoming with a lick of paint! The communal hallway was awful and someone had urinated in the hallway. It was also very dark until the lights came on in the hallway much later in the evening. It was a winding staircase of at least 40 steps and very narrow and whilst it is stated on booking.com that there is no lifts, it does not mention how many steps there are. With two big cases it was a struggle. We were also quite nervous of the fact that there were combination security locks on the inside of each door in the apartment with no deadlock on the front door!
