Beautiful premises, gorgeous view. Good fresh air. Thomas was extremely forthcoming and helpful. Treated us with a welcome drink and watermelon in the morning. We stayed in a room for five. Simple but spacious and clean.

We brought our own food, but you should know that he didn't serve any food because he just reopened the hotel. There are Tavernas 3 driving minutes from there.

Emplacement, piscine, accueil

Good location

Reeks of cigarette smoke. Old and poorly maintained rooms that don’t resemble the images. I wouldn’t mind but the price should be 10-15 euros less.

The location is excellent and the views over the north of the island to the sea are perfect. The apartments are located near the town and are accessed from a steep private drive, Lower down in the valley. The restaurant in the town is good but the short walk to it is up some very steep paths in the town. The four restaurants near the spring are only 800m away but take your car as the walk back is up some steep paths too. There are I think, about 9 apartments all facing north over the valley. we were touring Crete and our two night stay was about right.

I liked nothing about the place, although the room was a decent size and it was clean.

The reception was very poor. We didn't seem to be expected. The room was really cold. About 6 cats followed us around everywhere and tried to dart into the room when we opened the door. There were no facilities in the room whatsoever, no kettle, no cups or cutlery. There was a hob in the room but it was not connected. There were no restaurants or cafes in walkable distance from the property despite the website saying that there are which is really and importantly misleading. The access to the property is via a very steep single lane track, which we were unwilling to drive in the dark so couldn't have an evening meal. The swimming pool was clearly not in use and was full of dark green algae filled water. We decided not to stay - it was just so bad - we just drove away cutting our losses (we had already paid) and went somewhere else. I would not advise anyone to stay there.

The location is amazing. The owner is so lovely, friendly and helpful.

The place is pretty rundown. It has that ‘former glory’ vibe. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the bathroom was quite poor. It does feel a little mean to write this as the owner is really lovely but it is an honestly review.
