Dancing Wings Retreat Walker Paradise in Fremont

It is in a great location for exploring Fremont near several restaurants, coffee shops and bars. It was very clean and short Uber ride from the U light rail station. Accessing the property was easy. It was very clean.

It could use more art on the walls. It does feel like a basement.

We had a great stay here! The space was thoughtfully equipped and well maintained, making it a very comfortable place to stay. It’s tucked away in the building’s interior courtyard, which kept it nicely sheltered from road noise, yet the location is excellent and walkable to everything in the neighborhood. So it was the perfect balance of being in the middle of it all while still feeling quiet and peaceful. Vince, the host, was helpful and responsive whenever needed, and also put together a microsite guide that was a great resource for both the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood. Overall, a fantastic stay and one we'd happily book again.

Pros: Close to shops, river, healthy grocery store, coffee shops, Sunday flea market. Clean and felt safe. Cons: with the butterflies, I expected cozy and artsy, but the unit is sterile, basement-feel. More like a corporate apt.Espresso machine, not coffee maker. I would choose somewhere else if i returned to Fremont.

The unit was much more than I expected. Totally worth every penny. Spacious, clean, and the host was very communicative.

Perfect location and walking distance to everything.

Apartment is in the basement ground level of a 4 story condo complex. Natural lighting is limited as well as living room furniture. It best for short term rental less than 3 days. We stayed 21days. Kitchen supplies were sparse for two people.

We loved staying here! The kitchen had everything we needed: oil, spices, even tupperware to save leftovers! It was so nice to have a comfy home base and to cook our meals on vacation. We would definitely come back :)

Overall, the property is nice enough. Great location for where I work with a co-op and many good restaurants nearby. Given the location at the bottom of the complex, there's not a ton of natural light. A little more decoration could help brighten up the space and make it feel more lively. A tower fan or similar would be great for cooling down on warmer days without turning up the AC. A shelf in the shower so the shower supplies are up off the floor would also be welcome.

The 10am checkout (on a Sunday morning!) with cleaner banging on the door was not a great experience. Topped off by punitive $20/ extra charge for every 15 min. beyond that as we scrambled to depart. Living space is pretty sterile with tiny couch. Just the basics. Dark and cool space in basement.
