I was unable to enter property . Property management did not respond. I left town and drove to my home in Salusbury MD SINCE I HAD B MEANS TO ENTER PROPERTY. The management called ONLY AFTER I HAD RETURNED TO SALISBURY - 10:00 pm Sept 15. Please contact me to help with refund ! I am not getting any assistance in refund from several efforts to communicate with booking.com. Please respond ! Susan Matthews 410-977-9214

I only saw photos on line at booking .com If it had been dark , I would not have even gotten out of my car alone.

Lovely interior design, everything is spotless and tasteful, I was in the City room which was a little small but ideal for a solo traveller or couple who will be out and about, and it had everything you'd need for a short visit where the focus is on exploring Baltimore rather than staying indoors. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the coffee maker and free breakfast bars / water bottles is a great touch to get you started the first morning after your first night's sleep (it's very quiet and central too, right between Hampden and the CBD, I walked everywhere). I was doing a mainly John Waters-themed trip so spent one day in Hampden (the property is 10 mins walk to the Divine mural, then from there about 30-40 mins walk to 36th Street where there's lots of great shops, bars and restaurants, with a few lovely bars and diners - don't miss PaperMoon Diner!), then the next day around the harbour, which was a pleasant stroll through town away, the Visionary Museum is a must! Also the Charles Theater and Club Charles are around 15 minutes from the property, so an ideal night out is right out on your doorstep.

The property is mostly automated, as a bit of a technophobe I struggled with the codes on the doors here and there and even the sink in the kitchen is hands-free, but then again I am really clueless and used to simple UK living! The staff can take a little while to respond on here (I didn't have a working phone, just a laptop) but were very helpful when I had a few issues here and there with understanding how things worked. If in doubt just reach out to them! I'd noticed some reviews mentioning the area being a little run-down but if you're used to city living it shouldn't detract from the value and the quality indoors, and everyone I spoke to around the neighbourhood (I had to ask for directions a couple of times) was friendly and helpful.
