The shower over the bath was too short

The host was really nice. We arranged to drop our bags off earlier than the check in time and this was accommodated. It was really good to have a parking space and a lock box for the keys. Felicia was very friendly. Nice to have coffee/milk/ water in the room.

The only thing is that it would have been good to have a lock on the door as other guests stay there. There was a picture on the photos which showed the parking space which was helpful but it would be have been better explained in some instructions.

Very comfortable bed , so close to the venue . Our own allotted car park space . Felicia was a very welcoming host .

Clean, comfortable, and Felicia has been the most attentive host, she's been wonderful.

We didn’t have breakfast there but went to Lathecoates Farm 5 minutes away - a favourite of ours.

It was all fine.

The property was clean.

There was no communication from the host about how to enter the property prior to our arrival. Despite her agreement that we could arrive at 3pm, when we arrived at 3pm we had no way of entering the property and the host could not be reached on the phone. We therefore had to wait fir her call about 15 minutes later. We were led to believe that we would have the entire one bed Appartment. We then learned that it was a 2 bed property where both rooms were to be occupied by guests and the host would also be staying as she lives there. Facilities stated included the kitchen however the kitchen diner was cluttered with the host's own belongings and the fridge was full of her food. Her clothes and shoes were in all the wardrobes and drawers which left no space for our own clothes. When we occupied the room as stated in the advert with an onsuite bathroom, the host moved our belongings to the other room when we were not there. She then moved them back when her other guest who should have stayed there decided to leave. There were no locks on the doors and the coffee and milk provided in our room were out of date. There was a problem with the WiFi and the water in the bathroom was scalding hot. She did however place a warning sign in the bathroom. In the end, we decided not to stay and drove home. On the whole this was by far my worst experience with booking.com We had planned a nice stay in the Chelmsford area in what we thought would be a small Appartment to ourselves with all the usual Facilities. What we got was more like crashing at a friend's flat with others. The host was very pleasant but far from ready for this kind of venture.
