BEKAL FORT BEACH RESORTs

The apartment size is enough for 2 persons, clean rooms and linens. We were given a 1st floor sea facing apartment with 2 rooms and a balcony, it has a good view of the sea. There is a train line in between the hotel and the sea, trains passes there quite frequently, adding to the charm. We walked to the beach,, crossing the rail line, it takes about 3 to 4 mins to reach the beach. The resort is small but clean, with a s/pool and enough car parking space.

There is no tea/coffee making facility neither any room service available. Being in interior location, a tea/coffee making machine would have been very useful. They serve breakfast, which they arrange from some outside restaurant , so the food, particularly dosa becomes soggy and tea/coffee cools down by the time they bring to the room. There is no good restaurants nearby, you need to go by car at least 2 to 4 km to find some decent food joint.

1. LOCATION: The property is close by to Bekal Fort - 2.5 kms by road Beach - 300 meters by walk from resort Fun Fair - 500 meters from resort or 2 kms by road 2. AIR CONDITIONING: You have option for AC and Non-AC rooms. 3. ROOMS: When they say a 'room', it means you have Hall, 2 bed rooms with twin beds and bathroom. Technically, 4 people can stay in each floor. If you want the full independent house 8 people can comfortably stay and sleep. May be they can provide extra beds on the floor for extra person. 4. PARKING: Parking is available upon entry and some of the houses have parking next to it.

1. PROPERTY: 'Bekal Fort' has nothing to do with the name 'Bekal Fort Resorts'; this is a private property. (Hence, don't assume that this belongs to Govt. or State) The concept is more like independent houses. from the main road you will not find any board. Call them first before you enter any narrow lane. they may come and escort you. 2. APPROACH ROAD: From the main road, the property is 150 meters; and there are 2 approach path. usually, the map will show you a narrow path, bike and car can go, but for car the path is very narrow. second, one is just wide enough for 1 car to pass, but if any other vehicle comes on the road, both will have to find way to adjust, backup and then pass each other. 2. BEACH: The beach is literally 300 meters away. You will first need to cross 100 meters walk via the bushes, then cross the railway track and walk 50 meters next to the track; then walk again another 150 meters via the bushes to the actual beach. 3. SWIMMING POOL: Was under cleaning and fixing, hence we could not use it. 4. SPACE FOR DINNING: There is no dedicated restaurant or dedicated dinning space. It will be arranged in room or at an event place. 5. BREAKFAST: If you want Breakfast in the morning, you will first need to decide and confirm it yourself a night before, only then they will order it from a restaurant and provide in-room or in a common place. else you will not get it. 6. TEA/COFFEE: Tea or coffee they will make and give if you ask. by the time it's served, its warm not hot. 7. LUNCH/DINNER: If you want lunch or dinner, you will need to decide and tell the person there, he will order it from a common restaurant every time and you will need to pay for the delivery. 8. WATER: Water will only be provided the first day you arrive - 1 bottle. Rest of the stay you will have to pay for water 20/-. They don't keep water anywhere else so you can go and drink. 9. STAFF: Courteous but not trained to do the work.
