"A nice place for a long weekend getaway"

Comfortable beds and heating kept us warm . Parking just down road ideal and free and close to shops and village

Felt stairs and top floor bedrooms could do with carpet to reduce noise and make more homely

Absolutely beautiful cottage, near everything you need. We loved the farmhouse style kitchen. The owners are really lovely and let us stay another night as I’d made an error in my booking. I’m really impressed and as we come To Cornwall regularly we will be booking the cottage again.

Yew Tree cottage is a comfortable cosy cottage in an excellent location with convenient local amenities. The cottage has lots of character. The town of St Columb Major enjoys a variety of interesting historical buildings. You can access the countryside easily on local footpaths

We had a great stay at Yew Tree Cottage. Meg was really helpful and the cottage had everything we needed. Although the cottage doesn't have off street parking, we managed to park close by on the road. It's close to Newquay and it's amazing surfing beaches but nice to relax in a quieter location. We would definitely stay again :)

We liked: Parking is just a few yards down, past the cottage. The cosy, homely feel. The comfy beds. Very clean. Superb communication from our host. Excellent location for getting to most parts of Cornwall. Shops, a chippy, a kebab house and 2 pub restaurants within walking distance. Board games and books available to use.

We stayed at Yew Tree Cottage while visiting the Royal Cornwall Show and couldn’t have asked for a better base. The cottage has been recently renovated to a high standard — it’s beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and felt instantly welcoming. Everything we needed was there, and it was the perfect place to relax after a busy day at the show. A lovely property in a great location — we’d happily stay again.
