Machi no Odoriba

Very nice welcoming. Private onsen in your room. Superb breakfast!!

Overall, it was a very nice experience.

On a réservé la villa à 10 minutes de l’hôtel. Très moderne, tout était neuf. Emplacement parfait à côté de la rue commerçante. Très propre. Deux grandes chambres. Superbe salle de bain avec grande douche et très grande baignoire. Personnel de l’hôtel très aimable

Rien de spécifique à cette villa, c’est la même chose dans tous les hôtels japonais, mais il n’y a pas de rangements. Pas de nettoyage de l’appartement

Breakfast was delicious, as were the other snacks and beverages they provided. The staff was so friendly and kind. The in-room bath was lovely. I loved the way the room smelled (japanese incense) when we walked in. The service was wonderful (they helped us make a dinner reservation and recommended a restaurant).

There were mosquito nets over the bed, which they said were just decorative. We removed them because we preferred an open-air experience. Unfortunately we both got mosquito bites! There may have been a misunderstanding due to the language difference (though my husband speaks some Japanese!), but the "decorative" description seemed a bit misleading. Not a huge issue though!

Calm and relaxing environment at Machi no Odoriba. We felt like home since the beginning and we had a real authentic ryokan experience. Very nice garden, private onsen in the room, nice tatami and comfortable Japanese pijama to wear. The staff done an incredible job: offered tea and Japanese sweets, remembered our vegetarian options, all explanations were clear and they tried to support us in everything. We also had kaiseki dinner and we really liked it. The chef cooked in front of us and we had nice conversation with the staff at the end.

Nothing, it was all perfect

The place is easily the best stay I had in Japan: great, spacious room (apartment rather) with own onsen-powered bath, amazing traditional Japanese breakfasts, lovely, open, and helpful staff & owner. Reasonably located in a typical small-street quarter of a Japanese city, which was in a reasonable walking distance from everything you might want to see in the city.

Such a beautiful magical sanctuary. We loved everything from the time we arrived staff we're so friendly and helpful, the home was large, clean and comfortable and the area is stunning. Location is perfect, sights are all within walking distance. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Location is perfect, the staff was super nice and welcoming, the tidiness of the room which is very spacious, the private onsen in the room, the house is beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious, I will come back if I have the opportunity
