Royal Heritage Apartment in Split center

Fantastic central location. Beautiful apartment with air con. Shutters cut out most night time sounds. Close to street market.. fabulous give. Ivana was very helpful around taxi organising and places to eat and visit etc.

Location

The apartment is in an excellent location, just a few steps from the warren of alleys, bars, restaurants and shops of the old quarter of Diocletian's Palace. The rather grand Riva promenade on the seafront is a three minutes stroll away. The apartment itself is on the first floor (there is no lift) of an old building. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The the two single beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are mostly antique and intriguingly gothic in style with an assortment of interesting pictures. The bedroom has a small balcony - the shuttered windows have been fitted with a double set of double glazed frames which, when shut, greatly reduces any noise from the street. The air con is very quiet and very efficient. When the windows are open, one can hear the instrumental and vocal practice sessions from the music school across the road which adds a certain charm to the atmosphere. Ana, who looks after the property, is a good host and extremely helpful and responsive.

The bathroom is small but functional and the shower works well, though the very large mirror on the door facing the lavatory is a little off-putting! The kitchen is very small with only very basic equipment so might not suit someone who wants to cook substantial meals.
