AUPietrapertosa is the highest village in the Basilicata mountains - spectacular, humble, tiny. Marianna was straightforward and helpful, and the apartment was perfect - gorgeous views, and both a sense of history and all modern needs. You could spend hours on the front step in the sun looking out over the valley....

ESAUIn the heart of the village. Beautiful views from the balcony. Walk to restaurants and sites. Decor was smart and practical and the lounge area with the rock was really unique. It was nice to have some basics in the fridge/cupboard. Coffee. Milk. Crackers.
Not so much property but you need to realize the area is steep. Walking is up or down. Very few flat parts. There is reasonable paid parking (2 euro a day) about 5 minutes walk. We did drive the car to the property with the help of the host. So we could drop off bags. Otherwise it would be very difficult. It would be good to have more pillows on the bed. (2 each) and maybe refresh the sheets.
ITThe apartment is in the center of town. Even so, it was easy to find parking not so far away. We didn't cook but if we had wanted to, the kitchen was well equipped. The host, Marianna, was very nice and very helpful.
There are pretty steep steps to get to the apartment - but, I guess since it's in the mountains, that's to be expected. There's no air conditioning so one day when there was no breeze coming in, it got quite hot. But at night it cooled down a lot so it really wasn't that much of a problem.

AELocation was superb! Off the beaten track, stunning scenery, felt so lucky to be there.
I think the bedrooms need some ceiling fans, it was very hot at night time. We stayed there in July so it is very hot then. You could leave the windows open at night but then you’d get woken up early with the sun.

CHNicely renovated, clean, and modern apartment, fitting well to the atmosphere of Pietrapertosa. The host is very kind and helpful.
CNThe location is good, it takes a couple of minutes to climb there, but the view from the balcony is amazing.
The heat is not good enough.
