La Selva

Our hosts, Assandra and Carmine, were VERY helpful and went out of their to make our stay enjoyable. The fact that they both came to welcome us and to show us around their home, was very special. They shared lots of info on what sight seeing to do, good restaurants, etc. and was always available when we contacted them. We were spoilt with lovely treats and a bottle of wine on arrival, the accomodation was clean, stylish and spacious and their communication was excellent since day one. A definate place to stay, tucked away in beautiful Tuscany but still close enough to Florence and other villages and exceptional wine farms. We loved every minute of being there!

Absolutely nothing!

Atmosphere of the place was excellent. Amazing calm place.

It was close to our friends wedding location.

The stair case is quite steep

Character apartment with lovely views to the rear. Fully equipped kitchen and a great location as we were attending a wedding event close by. Alessandra is very friendly and welcoming, greeting us on arrival despite us being delayed by our flight.

Disappointed there was no air conditioning. This is listed as a facility so that needs modifying. The mosquito window nets were ripped in several places so bitten quite a lot first night. We replaced one window with a new net and used tape to repair some tears in the other windows. The access road is an agricultural track with parking a little distance from the property. OK if dry but when wet - it gets muddy.

The location and the surroundings are great

It is not an independent house, it is a big house separated for a few families and we heard a neighbours at night so there were some troubles with sleeping. Also WiFi worked really bad. The fridge also didn't work really good, the food was spoiling fast in it. We had some troubles with the heater, and there were less furniture than in the pictures, the living room was quite empty.
