The Moat Wrotham

This place was a little gem and all the staff, especially Paul (the Manager) couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Our room was great - we had one of the upstairs rooms which do have a sloping ceiling on one side of the bed but nothing that impacts use of the room. There was a mini fridge with free bottled water, always a Godsend and a coffee maker. The rooms were really clean, and modern and surprisingly really quiet, as it's on quite a busy road. Paul showed us round the event spaces and I was amazed by the size of the place. It'd be great for any celebration or event. All in all a great stay.

Very nice contemporary decoration in room with an extremely comfortable bed. Great to have the fan and mini fridge in the hot weather too.

No air con, so windows open. Our room was facing the road which is very busy and starts very early so didn’t sleep so well.

The room was nicely decorated and clean. The food in the restaurant was mostly good, although one of our party didn't enjoy theirs. Portions were generous and the staff were very nice and helpful. We were a bit worried that the loud parties that were going on during our first night's stay would be disruptive but the music ended at midnight and all was quiet after that. A fan was provided to cool the room. This was necessary as the room was a bit stuffy and opening the window would have let in too much noise from the road.

They really need to provide breakfasts. We had to drive to a nearby village 10 minutes away on our first morning and even further the second morning. Although the room had a fridge, which was great, it didn't have any storage, so we couldn't find a hair dryer or spare toilet rolls. Only two thirds of a toilet roll was left in the bathroom and that's not enough for two people for two nights. I'd expect a spare to be left. Our room was not serviced. On our first morning we saw the person who was servicing the rooms and asked if she did them all every morning and she said yes, but when we returned that afternoon the bed hadn't been made and no clean glasses left.

Perhaps should offer a pre made breakfast bag.
