Quiet canal home

It has a good amount of space, we were 3 adults and 2 kids. We appreciated the kid friendly amenities and attached garage with washer and dryer.

Could use more decor and a good cleaning of baseboards and probably a new comforter for the master bedroom.

The house and area were very nice. The host were also we’re also very nice and attentive.

We believe that there is mold in the house. The refrigerator ice and water didn’t work. Me and my wife reacted to it and are both very sick now. My wife especially since she has an autoimmune disease. She is very sickly and has been flaring up from it.

This was supposed to be a nice place to stay while we visited family for Christmas (booked for one week stay, 2 months in advance). We arrived on our arrival date after the stated check in time and attempted to use the code that was sent to unlock the door. We tried for 20 minutes and even watched a video on how the digital lock worked and we couldn’t get in. We called the number on the door, no answer. Called the number on the app, no answer. Eventually we had to call booking.com customer service and they attempted to reach the owner. We had to wait for over an hour outside in the dark only to eventually get the an email from customer service to say that “the host can no longer accommodate your stay”. (No shade on booking.com customer service, they were helpful within the limits of their policy and friendly). I had to book a hotel room instead (at a considerable cost, being last minute and Christmas week). I did receive a refund about a week later but there was never any communication or apology from the owner/host. Save yourself the trouble and extra expense, book a nice hotel instead.

Neighborhood peaceful. House is roomy and comfortable seatings.

The ice maker would run but there is no water connection to the fridge. It needs to be turned off.

It was perfectly located

Needed some chairs for front porch. Also need another outdoor mat for side door, and really need a couple of inside door mats. Tile is slippery with wet shoes or feet. Need some sticky foot stickers in shower. Very slippery when wet and showering. It would have been nice to have some sheers on the windows and black out curtains in the bedrooms. Also would be nice to have ice maker full of ice too.
