The Mulberry House, Buffelskloof Getaway

A lovely comfortable, well equipped house in a lovely area of the country.

Just a pity we could not see the dam from the house, as shown in the photos.

The only thing that was a slight problem is that the dining room chairs were too low for the table

Lovely house with really thoughtful touches. Traveling with kids it was lovely to have a bath, washing machine, every appliance and utensil you could think of needing on holiday. It was lovely to have farm animals around - sheep greeting us daily. Beautiful nature - almond trees, dam, birds. Got to see a caracal and a kudu outside the property. The property is surrounded by electric fencing to keep the baboons away - that also kept other wild animals away. So you could be around nature but not in a threatening way. We were there over a cold rainy period - the wood-fired hot tub and fireplace were very welcoming! The hostess (Elanda) communicates with guests really well and really lets on feel that she’s just a WhatsApp message away! She checked in on WhatsApp from time to time to see if we needed anything.

This spacious and beautifully furnished house is fantastic for families or adults. I loved the well equipped kitchen and the multiple seating areas inside and outside where you can relax and have a moment to yourself. My kids could safely run around and play while we could relax and enjoy the views. The house has all the charm of a South African farm house and all the luxuries of a modern home. The gravel road to the farm is also in a good condition and it is easy to reach your destination . The staff is attentive and kind.
