Lough View Lodge

We stayed for 1 night for my husbands birthday. Lovely location, beautiful view of the Lough and countryside. Very private and accommodation was very clean. Plenty of towels and 2 dressing gowns supplied. We had a lovely stay. It is very remote so perfect for a complete escape. Donemanagh village was 10 min drive away and we were able to drive in to collect food from a local takeaway.

Hot tub was lovely but not all jets worked. We tried all the controls to fix it but no joy The electric triped when we were in it so maybe it needs the wiring checked. Overall, a lovely stay but it lacked personal touches and some facilities for guests compared to what other places in this price range have. Eg, no BBQ, no fire pit, no welcome bottle of fizz no breakfast hamper, no bottled water., no toiletries in the bathroom.

The hot tub was quite cold and all the jets didn’t work.

The view is definitely the most incredible part of this property! Overlooking the mountains and the lough. Beautiful scenery for miles. The sunrise here was spectacular and can be watched from the bed! The electric fireplace was lovely. It really added to the atmosphere in the evenings. The hot tub is the selling point of this property

- The roof leaked in the middle of the night, and water was running into our luggage! We were really worried about the electrics/the lights! - The TV was awful. When it lists "streaming services" under facilities, it means the TV has the apps downloaded, but you need accounts with them all to access anything! i.e the Netflix, Disney+. Which would have been fine, but there was no regular TV channels. - No toiletries outside of hand soap - No bottles of water The parking space was very awkward to get into

The view was exceptional & the lodge was over all amazing. I got exactly what I asked for when I asked could it be decorated. Was very happy with the stay.
