The Barking Buck

We have just returned from a group stay for one night and I can honestly say it was very enjoyable.Mark and his team were very professional knowledgeable and accommodating .The rooms were of a very good standard,clean and comfortable with nice touches throughout.we all ate off the current menu and all eight of us had various dishes all of which were delicious.I personally had the to die for pork belly for starters followed by certainly the best ribs I’ve had for a long time.There’s a fusion of wonderful flavours throughout the menu. I finished with the cheesecake which was just enough to end the meal,the homemade tiramisu was well received by some of the others.Breakfast the next day was plentiful and nicely received with juices and choices of coffees.

To be honest the property location is peaceful and spacious and I think Mark and his team are improving and bringing their touches to make an even better experience.Overall we were all very happy.

The pub is beautiful and in a lovely location. We were met at the door on arrival and got checked in with ease. The staff were very kind and approachable. A 5 star stay. Thank you.

Nothing! Everything was amazing

A lovely light and large room.A good quiet location. Plus a very good breakfast and a caring host..

Mark was a wonderful host and it was in the perfect location for the wedding we were attending. It was clean and the brekkie was great!

We had a flashing bathroom light and bathroom was smaller than expected

Food brilliant and all round lovely place to stay

We loved the location, the food, the staff, the beer, the garden, the ambience, the proximity to the event we were attending.

For a small amount of the owners outlay our stay could have been exceptional. Just small irritating things, no toilet brush, no hand soap (but exceptional shampoo and conditioner), no hand towel, (but wonderfully fluffy bath sheets and flannels), no tray for the kettle etc to sit on, no bin for the used tea bags, but most annoying of all was the light streaming in through the curtains, the cost to get those backed with a black out fabric would have helped get a decent nights sleep. Its a small thing, but wouldve made a big difference.
