Kauri Motel on Riccarton

The motel was convenient close to Riccarton Mall.

Room was adjacent to main road so traffic noise was evident until late in the night.

Location was good, staff were friendly, lots of restaurants nearby

Unit was next to road so was noisy, bathroom needs updating, bed was uncomfortable

Arrived to find our room was flooded so didn’t stay here. Was transferred to another motel away from where we wanted to be (which was opposite the mall). The motel booked was a bit dodgy and didn’t feel safe with my daughter at night time.

The staff was excellent - and the room, while small, had all the right amenities. This is an excellent location for shopping and convenience. Public transportation is just outside the hotel for those venturing to downtown CC.

Wish the room had been slightly larger, but we did have a lot of luggage.

The place is nice and close to the mall and to pop over and grab something to eat. The room and kitchenette was clean.

Just one minor thing, the drain needs to a look at in the shower, as the water pooled a bit.

No breakfast provided. Close to shops for food. Location was good.

Bed sheets were not changed during the stay of 7 days. Screaming, yelling and foul language from people out front and fights every night. My wife (the tenant) was not game to go out after dark.

Requested twin room but it wasn’t twin room and reception er said I haven’t get any request from booking com. I showed booking reference she said I don’t have any room attendance….
