We enjoyed a warm welcome from Naif. Prior to our arrival, I asked Naif about the possibility of including meals and dinner was ready shortly after our arrival. Dinner was delicious and generous and was definitely worth it to be able to relax, enjoy the view over Wadi Musa, and not have to go out. After dinner, he brought a dessert and coffee. It was very nice and I felt very welcomed.

The shower temperature is very difficult to get right and keep at the same temperature long enough to shower. This is more difficult with young children. This is just something to be aware of. Additionally, I should have been more insistent on having a price for all services prior to checkout. When leaving Naif asked for 150 JOD, (53 JOD for the apartment and 97 JOD for the dinner, breakfast, and packed lunches). The dinner was delicious. The packed lunches and breakfast I would skip and simply visit a supermarket the day before hiking in Petra to pack my own, if I were to return. I explained to Naif that these costs were not clear and I ended up paying 100 JOD (53 JOD for the apartment and 47 JOD for the food). I would have rather left with a smile rather than a negotiation. I would encourage Naif to be transparent with pricing and what is included.

A great guest house with the best host! The place was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious, and had a beautiful view of Wadi Musa and the surrounding area. The photos really don’t do justice to how nice it is! Having a private living room, dining room, kitchen, and balcony (in addition to the two bedrooms and two bathrooms) was really nice to have after long days exploring Petra. The guest house is up on the hill just 5 minutes driving from the entrance to Petra but outside the chaos of the town (it was nice and quiet at night), which was perfect for us, and the big, private parking spot made coming and going easy. The owner, Nayef, was also the kindest and most thoughtful host and really made sure we had a fantastic stay. He and his family live downstairs so they are always nearby if you need something, but also offer complete privacy. He offered to provide us with all of our meals (lunches, dinners, desserts, plus the included breakfast) which we did and would recommend. The dinners were home-cooked and the best we ate anywhere in Jordan (his wife even made separate vegetarian meals for the vegetarian in our group, and every dinner was different), and the lunches were delicious and more than enough food for a long day in Petra (bread and butter/honey/jam, chips, cookies, water, juice, fruit, etc). We were there during Eid so we got special Eid desserts every night that were also fantastic. All in all, a fantastic stay! Highly recommended!

The accommodation was absolutely great. The apartment is completely new and fully equipped with everything you need. Cleaning is done every day. I recommend to order the dinners are great and try the local home cooking. Every dinner is finished with coffee and a great dessert. The owner was very helpful and kind. he satisfied us in everything and we had no problems.

Great Breakfast & a fantastic location!!!

I didn't like that our stay was only 5 days...Mr. Nayef was such a fantastic host that we would have liked to stay there for a longer stay!

The host’s hospitality was extraordinary. He’s a really kind person, answers questions quickly and communicates with you throughout your stay to make sure you’re comfortable. They also offer dinner optionally for a good price, it was tasty. The apartment has a gorgeous view of the city. Definitely recommend. One of the nicest experiences we’ve had with hosts.
