Magnifique & élégant appartement

Near the station which suited us. 3.5 kilometres walk to Medina and other sites. Shower was good. Washing machine worked fine.

When people want an apartment, they want to cook. This apartment had 1 knife, a very old frying pan, no decent pots. No kitchen sink plug to wash up and the sink was blocked. Nothing to dry the dishes. No cover sheet on the bed.

The location was good because I needed to catch the 4:50 train to Fez the next morning. It was urban and comfortable, not at all like a riad. I could see a nice pool from my room and wanted to swim. However, I couldn't swim because I arrived quite late and left very early in the morning. There were restaurants nearby where I could take away, which was convenient. I have always had problems with electrical appliances, etc. on previous trips. However, the air conditioner, TV, hot water shower, Wifi, everything worked fine.

The actual address was different from the address when I booked on Booking.com. In fact, I noticed on the day of my stay that the address was only the name of the street and not the street number. Therefore, the cab driver dropped me off on the street, anyway. When I contacted the landlord via WhatsApp, he said he had changed the location. As I walked, looking at the map, I was stopped by a policeman. He told me that I would not be able to enter unless I gave the name of the owner of the room I was staying in. When I finally arrived at the building, the main doorkeeper was there and told me to fill in the form which had about 8 items in French that I couldn't make sense of. Since my room was in the main door building (C block), I was able to find a room right away. If it had been a different block, I don't think it would have been easy to find. There was no toilet paper. No hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. of any kind.

The swiming pool is just by the window, and its was guite noisy because of summer holidays

The location was perfect for us just across from the bus and train station and helped us with our travel itinerary, and there are many restaurants nearby. We met the owner and he was very friendly and accommodating.

Getting into the apartment was somewhat confusing as we had to fetch the security guard each time to let us in the door. There were a few maintenance issues needing attention such as a broken shower head and stopped up kitchen drains. We mentioned these to the friendly owner and he stated he would take care of them.

It was a comfortable bed and sofa. The kitchen had a few things to prepare coffee, tea, and a simple meal. If I were to stay longer, the pool would have been great on a warm day. The security guard was helpful and pleasant. Finally, it was a stonesthrow from Carrefour, the Supratours station, and train station. Excellent location!

The exterior of the building and surrounding area is in development, so it might be uncomfortable for some coming from Europe or North America. The bathroom and shower could be fixed/renovated, and cleaned a bit better. It wasn't the easiest to find because of how they numbered the buildings.
