Nice sceneries of mountains and tea plantations round the chalet. Clean and nice chalets. Nice sitting area where you can help yourselves to tea and enjoy the view. The owner is a tea plantation owner and you can drop by his office which is just on the way to the chalet to check in. Breakfast was quite nice and huge - glutinous rice cooked with pork and mushroom, 1 sunny side up egg, 1 large plate of cabbage and some raddish pickles. After breakfast, there is a free tea session. Owners are humble.

It is quite far from town and no food stall or shops around. Good for a overnight stay if you have a car. Need to have your own car to reach this accommodation. The room has very little space and the bed is a little hard if you don't like hard bed.

"Would not stay here again nor recommend it"

3.0

Apart from the experience of staying in a traditional Taiwan home stay, there was nothing I enjoyed in this place

Very far and secluded place. Hard to find as there was no signage into the property- owner said the storm destroyed it and they hadn’t bothered to replace. The roads leading to it were very tight and winding- if u have motion sickness the journey would be very uncomfortable. No food within a 30min drive. Owner did not reach out to enquire if we needed dinner. Breakfast is served strictly at 8am…if u were late or missed it, too bad. Lots of small flying insects. Walls were thin. Beds were hard, pillows were flat.

"Excellent, authentic stay"

9.0

Located on a secluded hillside covered with blossoming trees and tea plants, is this quiet B&B. It is within easy driving distance of attractions (Alishan Forest Recreation Area) and hiking trails, and it s a short ride to Fen Shi Hu station (including a 7-Eleven). The welcome is warm, and has authentic Taiwanese hospitality. Tea is grown on the farm, and (especially after drinking other teas to compare afterwards) is very nice (!) - high quality oolong, which shouldn't be missed to try. Breakfast was great, authentic and filling. Dinner is offered on request - which I realised too late but can recommend, saving you evening drives on steep mountain roads. All in all highly recommended, thanks for hosting me - I will not forget :)
