Lake House Hikka

Nice place to stay, not far from the beach, clean rooms. Hosts helped us during our staying very kind and responsive.

I would suggest to organize kitchen zone

The bed was comfy. Nice big bath tub. Located by a nice lake which you can swim in.

There was some confusion about the room I booked. I booked standard double room, but somehow was allocated the ‘nature room’. This particular room had no windows and instead had some perished roll down blinds which meant the local wildlife paid me several visits. It also meant that the noise from the trains passing by was incredibly loud which disturbed my sleep and meant that I Wasn’t able to work online with clients due to the very loud sounds.

We stayed in the nature room which had a beautiful view over the lake (salt water lake where you can also swim). One side is open and gives you a feeling of sleeping in the open. As it is open you might encounter some animals passing by. 😉

Madu and his family are wonderful! The place is super comfy and it's situated in a beautiful location near a natural sea water lake! Breakfast was good and they were very helpful.

I really enjoyed the surrounding area of the house, the courtyard, and the lake next to which it is located. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to relax if you want to escape the noisy city and unwind. With these thoughts in mind, I flew from Dubai to Sri Lanka and was lucky to stay in this quiet and cozy spot. From the courtyard, it feels as if you’re not living in a village but somewhere deep in the jungle. The staff is very welcoming and kind. They helped me with the transfer and also provided a motorbike rental, which I used to explore the jungles and various towns throughout my stay.

What I didn’t like were the mosquitoes at the beginning of my stay, but by the end, there were significantly fewer of them (the season is just starting).

The guys are extremely friendly and helpful. Instead of one night I extended to three nights and will return one day

Beautiful location and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

A really nice interior, new and well kept property. We enjoyed the view to the lake outside. The breakfast was delicious. The owner was friendly and nice to talk to.

A mosquito net would have been good and the fan in our room wasn't very powerful compared to other places we've stayed in.
