Somewhere over the river

Great location, the stuff more than helpful. The owner is just amazing. She helped with everything money exchange, sim cards, book the slow boat, prepare a sandwich for the trip. Just amazing. The facilities are basic, but it is for one night and it is a small village, don’t have higher expectations. Also a nice place to socialise, I met great people!

Location

In our first room we found hairs from the previous guest in the bed. The room was dirty and in poor condition. The second room wasn't much better, but the linen looked fresh. In the room was a second bed. There we had a lot of insects. We had no other choice, so we stayed. More insects on the walls. Some kind of worms and little flying insects. Everything in both rooms was in a really poor condition. The closed room door had on the top a 2cm gap. Breakfast was ok. We bought lunch, I don't know what we got but it was far away from the ordered chicken.

I recommend this place. I really enjoyed the confortable seats next to the river--where you can swim. And the food they serve is good as well.

We only stayed one night before heading to Luang Prabang and the owner still made sure that we had a good time. It’s along the river which is very beautiful. She helped us book a last minute van for cheaper than on 12Go. Her husband drove us to the bus station. Breakfast was included, and very generous, made by the owner herself even tho it was early in the morning. It’s a 5 minute walk to restaurants. Exactly what we needed for a one night stay.

Basic amenities but didn’t bother us, and it was a bit cold during our stay.

It was $10.00 a night so for that price it exceeded my expectations. It’s close to town, basically clean, has a private bathroom and quiet.
