"This beautiful hotel is trying to be run with a total lack of staff"

Beautiful location. Lovely room. Lovely bar and restaurant area. Ample seating area outside with gorgeous views. We had a very warm welcome.

We had dinner on one night of our stay. Due to lack of staff we were advised that we couldn’t sit outside - it was 30’ so just the weather to enjoy the outside with beautiful views over the sea but they needed us to sit inside!! There was a special 2 course menu for £19. Very good value but only one choice of starter left! Our bathroom wasn’t cleaned once during our 3 night stay and despite leaving the floor towel on the floor, desperately needing to be changed as the shower leaked, the cleaner left it there and I had to ask for a new one. He/she twice put the towel radiator on in the bathroom when the room was already boiling during the 30’++ heatwave. He/she took the rubbish out of the bedroom bin then left it in a bag in the middle of the floor! I had to find a dustbin to dispose of it myself! The toilet bowl was very stained when we arrived and despite asking for some bleach to be put down it, it never happened.

Beautiful location and exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Got a free upgrade to a room with Seaview and balcony. Vicky on reception was incredibly welcoming after we had a long and hot journey. Trudi at breakfast was welcoming and cheery and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.

Location overlooking the estuary was so special. Excellent and generous breakfast. The staff were all first class especially Katie who went out of her way to help us sort out an issue with my mothers room

Lack of easy parking. Green light on bedroom ceiling was too bright at nightime and disturbed my sleep. The wall mounted USB charger too weak - couldnt even charge phone to 100% overnight.

Location,rooms were well decorated,staff were really good and friendly.

Bed was uncomfortable for us, food was a bit pricey, we had a roast, tasted good but could have been hotter.
