Breakfast was healthy and adequate; the turmeric juice was excellent.

The issue was with accessibility — this is a lovely property but not not meant for seniors with some mobility issues. The outdoors bathroom with possibility of monkeys, the foot high door threshold, the bed on a raised platform which one needs a step adder to climb made our stay uncomfortable. The staff were very cooperative and the issues were not their fault. The property description could have been a bit more detailed. We had booked for 2 days but sadly had to move to another hotel as this was proving a bit challenging for our group which included an elderly person.

The location was amazing, right on the cliffside with breathtaking views and lots of monkey encounters at the hotel. The pool, food and staff were lovely too.

The rooms were run down and the beds were not comfortable. There were no blankets on any beds and we were told no extra bedding was available. The fans had one setting and the upstairs room in the gecko suite was stiflingly hot with no fan at all. Outside toilet and no front door felt a little too exposed and no fridge or kettle in rooms. Expensive for lack of comfort and facilities but paying for the location. I liked the idea of the hotel/health and yoga retreat but a lot needs fixing. Doors didn’t shut properly and the locks though beautiful were very clunky to use.

The staff was very accommodating for any request made and was always extremely nice. The views are definitely amazing and pictures alone do not do it justice. I found the villa to be very clean with a limited amount of insects and geckos for being in such a densely wooded area.

The monkeys, when we first arrived we were met very kindly with help to move our luggage to the villa. It was perfect and we absolutely loved the view. After going out and shopping we were greeted by the monkeys that are native to the cliffs. I personally do not like these ones due to their naturally aggressive nature. However they were there first and I am not saying to remove them simply for tourists, I am just not a fan of them. The monkeys were blocking the path to our villa. This was very disheartening but the staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to move to a different villa where the monkeys were less likely to be a problem. This was true until the day of our checkout when we were met by 4 monkeys banging on our window and trying to shake the lock loose. With it being the day of our checkout I saw no reason to complain. For staffing the service was 100% a 10/10. The workers and the villa itself were 10/10. And if you don’t have a fear of small monkeys like me I would recommend this villa to everyone I know.

La primera habitación no me gustó, pero me cambié a otra y fue mucho mejor !!

I loved the simplicity of the lodge. No TV’s in rooms, it’s a stripped back, relaxing vibe. I found it hard to find places to stay with Balinese style so this is a must if you’re into a more traditional stay. View is insane, and the food is delicious. Lovely staff too!
