Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Location was good for exploring the Mournes and Newcastle. Plenty of off-street parking. The host was very accommodating and helpful, offering and providing a good quality pack lunch (at extra cost) for our walking trip.

Room was worn and in need of some attention. The bed very hard and uncomfortable. In the bathroom the mirror was rusty, the sink cracked and the extractor fan had to be turns off as it made a screeching noise.

WE BOTH REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY WITH PADDY AT THE GOLF LINKS HOUSE. PADDY WAS VERY WELCOMING AND UPGRADED OUR ROOM TO A SLIGHTLY LARGER ROOM AT THE BACK OF THE PROPERTY. VERY GRATEFUL AS THE NEARBY MAIN ROAD HAS A CONSTANT HUM OF TRAVEL INTO THE POPULAR TOWN OF NEWCASTLE. TOWN IS ABOUT 20 25 MINS WALK AT A STABLE PACE. IT WAS REALLY NICE TO HAVE A BAR FACILITY AND A MEAL FACILITY. THERE IS A NICE BAR AREA AND A SHELTERED FRONT PATIO AND VERANDA. SEAN OG IN THE BAR AS A RETURNING STAR IS A GEM (GREAT PITY THAT HE HAS MOVED ON) AND CHLOE IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM. REALLY NICE INDIVIDUALS THAT REALLY MADE YOU FEEL AT HOME

THE ROOMS WERE A LITTLE DATED / TIRED AND COULD DO WITH A REFRESH. EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS THERE, IT JUST NEEDS A LITTLE REFRESH.

lovely breakfast room good choice of food paddy does a mean scrambled egg delicious 😋

maybe a choice of wholemeal bread would be the only thing maybe there was a choice but i didn't ask
