Roxanne - Boat

Beds were extremely comfortable, location fantastic. Loved how we had milk and eggs left for us in the fridge.

There was three of us but only two wine glasses.

Met by the owner who explained all the workings of the boat and what was supplied , lovely feller who seemed to be interested in you having the best time possible on his boat . The fire was lit which set the warm welcome . Superb location , two minute walk to all the amenities . Spotlessly clean so warm and inviting . Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break away .

I liked everything

Such A perfect little place to stay in Skipton. Host was fantastic throughout, explained everything when we arrived, and always on hand if we needed anything (we didn't!). The boat itself is just perfect. Beautifully decorated, very well appointed, lovely and warm, and in the perfect location.

I stayed on the The Boat with a friend when we were visiting a mutual friend who lives in Skipton - we chose it because it made a change from the hotels we've stayed in previously, and what a brilliant choice it was! Paul was there to greet us, he had the log burner lit and was able to explain how everything worked. He had brought us milk and a bottle of water for a brew (the tap water is from a tank so he recommends drinking bottled), and as we arrived at the same time as the latest named storm, we were very glad to be able to spend a cosy afternoon in the "living room" next to the log burner, tea and coffee easy to make in the well-equipped kitchen, and with cake bought locally (we recommend Sweet Mama Bakes on the High Street) - it was perfect for sitting and chatting! The Boat has been thoughtfully and carefully renovated to an excellent standard. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of hot water for showers and washing up, and we even forgot at one point that we were on a boat and thought we were in an apartment ... until the swans glided past the kitchen window! 😀 I'm almost reluctant to leave a great review in case The Boat becomes so popular that we can't book in again in the future ... but as an option for somewhere to stay in Skipton that is literally across the water from the High Street and next to easy car parking, we couldn't fault it and would definitely choose to come back. The location, cleanliness, homeliness , availability of owners for instruction, wood provided for log burner which was already lit for us on arrival, the decor and comfort was excellent.

A book with instructions for boat with wifi code would of been useful however i know this is a new listing and Paul was available on the phone when needed despite being out of the country.

Just the most beautiful boat. The owner Paul has decorated it to such a high standard. Two lovely bedrooms and the living area is gorgeous. Love how well-equipped the kitchen is too and the coal fire keeps the whole boat so nice and warm. We loved looking out the window seeing the boots and dogs walking past

We were the first guests staying here so the owner was just fixing a couple of issues with drainage in the bathroom- but he fixed straight away. Paul is a lovely owner and couldn’t have been more accommodating.
