Stóri-Bakki cosy cottage near Egilsstaðir-Jökull

È un cottage in mezzo al nulla ed è molto suggestivo. Un monolocale in cui c’è tutto quel che serve. Ci tornerei 100%

Such a cute little cabin and felt more spacious than the photos looked! We saw the northern lights going outside to round the back and looking north, and the owner was very sweet and attentive going out of her way to help our comfort and bring some extra pillows as we struggle to sleep with only one so that was very kind and it was very windy, it was very snowy around but the roads were manageable with 4x4 and lovely views around, good shower good firm beds, nice bedding, great mini fridge and freezer option good oven/ hob, kitchen was good with lots of utensils to use, very warm and cosy and peaceful and private, we liked having a tv, it has smart access too, WiFi was great, the supermarket closes at 7pm bear this in mind as we didn’t 😅

We loved it, these are only examples of what we think would improve it, A bigger frying pan/ wok would have been very helpful for when cooking (we like to cook enough to take out the next day to save costs) as the only frying pan is quite small, but we managed by using several deep cooking pots at once, bigger drinking glasses, and some extra hooks on the wall near the door and a shelf maybe quite high over the side of the beds would be fab for practicality when unpacking your luggage as there’s not much room to unpack daily items, and to move the lights over the beds higher up as we could not sit up in bed or we would hit our heads, and a post or longer rope to fix the gate to stay open we were a little worried in high winds the gate would close itself on the rental car, theses are only recommendations for improvement we had a wonderful time

Küche müsste mal wieder gründlich gereinigt werden. Pfannen sind sehr kaputt. Alles etwas abgewohnt.
