Gorgeous little cosy cottage. Perfect for a quiet stay away from the touristy areas but close enough to all of the places of interest. The rooms were warm, comfortable and spotless. The highlight was the log burner to add to the cosy setting. Modern kitchen was a plus and a power shower. Bed was comfortable. Arriving to a welcome gift was a lovely touch.

Could do with an upgrade to a smart TV so that guests can use their own steaming services, as freeview is limited. However, this isn't really a negative, just personal preference

The location was perfect for a base, the property had everything we needed The welcome gift was unexpected but very welcomed. I wasn’t expecting a EV charger but as we have a EV car it took some pressure off having to find one. Absolutely fantastic break

Lovely cottage in beautifull quiet location. All the staff were very friendly.

Superb location and very welcoming. After a long drive great to find that cakes, tea and ground coffee and were provided upon arrival. Key collection worked well and instructions easy to understand. Well stocked shop on site. Facilities were very good with a well equipped kitchen complete with plenty of pots, pans, cutlery etc and a huge dishwasher. Great and reliable wifi. No mobile signal in the area but with wifi calling it wasn't an issue. Really liked the woodland setting with lots of deer, owls, pheasants and the occasional fox. Pool appeared larger than shown in photographs but didn't have chance to try. Property very clean.

The heating could have been a little warmer. With hindsight the purchase of logs for the log burner would have been sensible. During early February the living area was a bit cool despite being able to temporarily boost the temperature via the heating. Again, the LED lighting was a bit dim. If you're fortunate to be in the area on a sunny day this may not be an issue however a bit more lighting in the living area and bathroom would be an improvement.

Location

There was mould, smelt damp, dust covering the bathroom fan and bath handle missing. There was wrappers, tissues and a tampon under the bed. The carpet was dirty and had not been vacuumed. The WiFi was on and off constantly. The pool is advertised as heated but it was uncomfortably cold due to maintenance pumping cold water in while it was our turn.

Beautiful location, cottage was well equipped and comfortable with lovely new kitchen, swimming pool was great. Staff were very helpful as there was a lot of snow.
