De Quinton Hotel

We stayed here twice either side of a trip to the Cameron Highlands. On both occasions the rooms were meticulously clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff especially Stephen are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The location is ideal - close to lots of local eateries and a 10-15 minute walk to the old town and train/bus stations. A note for those concerned about the negative comments on parking. Yes the hotel has three free spaces out front on a first come first served basis, but there are dozens of other spaces that upon downloading the parking app will cost less than £1 for a whole day.

The soundproofing could be improved especially as some people seem incapable of talking at a reasonable level or watching TV unless on full volume.

This is my second stay at this hotel (my first was in February 2025), and I'm happy to see that it has maintained the same high standards. The location is great, with plenty of food options nearby, including the famous chicken rice shop, a newly opened dessert shop, and several nice cafés. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean, just as I remembered from my first visit when the hotel had just opened. I also appreciate the thoughtful room design. The hair dryer is conveniently placed near the mirror instead of inside the bathroom, which makes it much easier to use. I also like the shower heater, as it's easy to adjust to the right temperature without having to keep turning the knob back and forth. For a double room, the space was sufficient and comfortable. Overall, I had another pleasant stay and would definitely consider coming back again.
