Violet Cottage at Zenzen Gardens

Beautiful countryside, very nicely landscaped site. Small room, a tiny building, but nicely decorated, comfortable bed. Semi-outdoor shower around back was clean and private. The rustic setup was charming and yet…

The only thing uncomfortable was the only toilet, a double porta-potty across the wide driveway from the lodging. It was clean and refreshed. But for some (perhaps senior, like me) guests, treks out in the dark, rainy “wee hours” requires really waking up, adding a warm layer, using an umbrella and flashlight. I’m a pretty rugged traveler but I found myself worrying about potential senior guests who didn’t realize in advance the challenge of bathroom visits.

Just as described. Very cute and comfortable. Beautiful grounds.

Highly unique, beautiful cottage! Picture perfect, magnificent gardens! Lovely owner! Quiet—first night’s sleep my friend has had in years!

Did not do breakfast

Was hard to find needed better map.

I’d recommend creating a primitive toilet block, similar to the shower which worked well.
