Affordable.

Owner greeted me in his underwear which was pretty gross. Beds are tiny and designed for children not adults. Low hygiene standards + rooms super smelly. Guest House is run down and priorly maintained. No insect screens so mosquitos come in through open vented windows. Photos looked a LOT better than the actual property.

The place itself is ok, the big issue is the angry aggressive owner, who has very bad attitude towards guest Absolutely would not recommend this place.

AVOID THIS PLACE - AGGRESSIVE AND HOSTILE OWNER/HOST I booked 2 nights, and when i went to shower in the evening there was no soap, so I said to the host "there is no soap, he immediately got defensive and said WE DON'T SUPPLY THAT - READ THE BOOKING RULES, I responded with, "I didn't see that, but it's poor that you don't have soap available". ( It doesn't say soap not supplied, it doesn't say it is, and I assumed a basic item like soap would be available) That really fired him up,  he shouted at me......"You f##king Australians, you pay cheap price, you want this - you want that.. I own this place - if you don't like I cancel you reservation right now, I don't give a shit"   His rant went in for several minutes, yelling about how he hates guests that  complain  and all sorts of other issues he had with guests. He was completely irrational and unstable.   I left first thing next morning, even though paid booking that night.. I am in my 60s, and have never experienced anything like this before from an accommodation provider. This man SHOULD NOT be in the hospitality business.  He has a serious anger management or mental problem. This review is not about the facilities......it's about the shocking attitude, hostility, rudeness & anger of the host towards a guest. Absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable.

This was booked for me by a friend due to time constraints, and not up to my usual standard. It's OK for a guest house though. I didn't actually stay after checking in, because there was no aircon, a problem with having somebody else book for me, and my fault because I didn't brief adequately on my requirements. I didn't think the pedestal fan was adequate, so left after about an hour. I didn't use the facilities, other than wifi which seemed reliable.

No aircon, but I wouldn't have booked if I'd done the booking personally, so not really a mark down. The access lane is long and very narrow. The room is about 2 metres from the pool, so noise cold potentially be a problem. There were no coffee making facilities.

We absolutely loved the accommodation. The owner was incredibly kind and hospitable and was flexible with everything. The bed and mattress were fantastic, the room itself was spacious and comfortable. The pool was a bit cold but nice to have just in case, nice and clean. Free coffee and tea for guests and filtered water to fill your bottles which is also a huge plus, with a fridge for your leftovers, very well organized. Lastly, the bathroom was perfect, hot and cold water was to be grateful for. The noise was minimal, you could sleep at night, be in the center of Ubud but hear absolutely nothing but roosters and nature. You can park your motorbike in front of the hotel at the end of the alley, and if you ask for recommendations, the owner will help you with all, motorbike, laundry, directions, talking to people for you and putting in a good word, etc etc.

Nothing, but it's true that if there are disrespectful guests, you can wake up early in the morning to their voices, but because of disrespectful guests and not because of the hotel itself. We noticed this on the last day because it was thd weekend and originally when we got there it was a week day and the hotel hadn't received all its guests yet. Otherwise, no noise and fantastic.

I booked this place last minute for 2 nights and kept extending my stay night after night. The room was clean, very comfortable bed, soft clean sheets, and newer furniture. The owners have quiet hours set from 10pm - 8am which is really nice. I enjoyed lounging by the pool and having access to the kitchen to make tea and get water. Oh and strong, reliable wifi. The best part are the sweet owners, Puspa and her husband. They are so kind, lovely to talk to, and are so willing to help you with things, planning, etc. The location was an easy and nice 5-10 min walk to city center. This is great because it is tucked away enough that you don’t hear any street traffic.

Nothing, it was perfect. It is tricky to find initially, but they are working on getting a new sign. They will also send you photos that are helpful in finding it!
