Relaxing Family Retreat Near NRG/Toyota Stadiums

There are several serious issues with the property and the owner’s conduct: The property was listed as a 5-bedroom accommodation. In reality, it has 4 actual bedrooms and a hallway, which was misleading. The hallway "sleeping arrangement" consisted of an air mattress that was leaking and unusable. Several pillows and blankets were missing. Those provided were dirty and unhygienic. I contacted the owner via phone and SMS, sharing clear evidence of these issues. Her response was dismissive: "You’re only staying one night, it’s not a big deal." I strongly advise against staying at this property.

The area wasn’t bad

We arrived at the home there was no lights. The people next door were the clean up people they didn’t pay the light bill until 5:00 PM we arrived at 3:00PM we had to rewash all the covers and buy towels. The beds were not made up. It was trash in the corner. The lock on the door is broken. Has a screw hanging out of it upstairs tub was dirty.

Most of the time we got a reply from the host within an hour or two, when writing about all the issues we experienced

*The beds were not ready - found the bed linens on top of the washing machine and don't know if they were even clean *No towels in the bathrooms - found them in the dryer. *The faucet in the kitchen didn't work and we had to fix it ourselfes and buy new batteries *The Garden is not private as described, so we had to share it with the neighboor in the other half of the house, and their dog - The neighboor seemed to be on something and made us uneasy *A lot of our clothes were distroyed in the washing machine, since it had not been cleaned and therefore there was bleech in it *No where to put our waste since the garbage bins were full when we arrived *No instructions on how to use the house, or where and how to use the aircondition *The neighboorhood seemed unsafe *There were dogs barking all night long every night *The neighboors (the other half of the house) often used the parkingspace so there is no where to park your car *There were ceveral cars arriving again and again in front of the house all night long, every night, just holding there with the engine running to visit/talk to the neighboors in the other half of the house *The house is really cold even though the temperature outside was 95 degrees *We checked out 4 days before we should, because we didn't feel safe or happy about the above mentioned things, but also to complete the adventure, there was a power outage when we woke up in the morning on the day we chose to leave,, and we didn't get any info about what caused it (unpaid bill or an error) or when we could expect it to Come back, even after waiting ceveral hours. All our groceries were wasted. The host will not give a refund for the last 4 days we had paid for, even though we had checked out of the house, or even give any kind of compensation for all the issues, as they feel that since they have replied on the many messages we sent during our stay, in it self is enough compensation for the inconveniences.

No more than 15/20 mins from everything we planned to do. Comfortable, clean, Tvs in every room

Extremely cold. Even when we turn the air off . Not enough towels around for bathing
