Gilded Nooks

The kitchen was well equipped with good cookware. There were some food items and water which was very thoughtful and kind. The entertainment was also very good. The host was kind and quick to respond.

The apartment was rather small. The bed was too small for me, and my 13 year old son, I opened the back kitchen door while cooking, and we were invaded by mosquitoes. The beddings could be improved, and the bed math was very filthy. The floor had some gummy look like something was removed from it earlier. We ran out of toiletries early.the view from my room was quite discouraging and unlike what was on the site.

Very clean and comfortable

It was a good space with most of the amenities (no oven mitts but they do have an oven). Close to markets and restaurants. The person I dealt with for any queries was very quick to respond. This is always helpful.

West and East Croydon have some very sketchy people in this area. When locals asked where I was coming from when I re-located and I told them Croydon, they shivered. The flat was good, had most of what I needed less oven mitts (you get creative) but the door handle to the kitchen fell off on me (I may not have gotten out but managed) and the oven hood was starting to fall off the wall. I tried to push it back up, but a bunch of drywall fell onto the stove. So, I left it alone. Huge closets, but a waste of space. One is sufficient so you can gain space if two people were to stay there. Not that it is the fault of the person who deals with the property but it would've been really nice to be given a head's up that they were setting up to do construction on the house next to my accommodations. The noise was horrible. One day, I didn't leave due to feeling ill, and that was all I could hear all day. Banging and loud pipes (scaffolding) being set up. Normally, you would leave to explore for the day, but if I choose to stay where I want, I shouldn't need to be next to construction of a building really close unless I am aware of this.

The property is within close proximity to all essential services, from shops to restaurants, train stations, bus stations, ATMs and more. The room itself was very nice. I liked having the opportunity to cook my own meals. I could bake and cook whatever I wanted. I also liked being able to wash and dry my clothes. I actually felt at home. I liked being able to watch Netflix.

The bathroom was rather small, and there weren't spare tissues and trash bags.

Nice decoration. Clean studio. Contains many appliances. Quiet street.

The neighbourhood is really rough, you don't feel safe walking in it past certain hours. I had Studio 1, which is on the ground floor and faces the street, didn't have any privacy, since the only space where you can be, can be easily seen by anyone who passes in the street. Windows can open wide, there is no lock, so it feels unsafe to leave them open, since it's very easy to come in from outside. It only has black curtains, so that to have some privacy you have to stay in the dark. Unconfortable matress, too hard. Very small bathroom, no space for any of your stuff. Since this is a house in which the owner made studios from the rooms, being in studio 1 (the door is right after the main entrance one) means that when the other guests come in, it almost seems like they're entering your room, it gives an unpleasent feeling.

Great location. Quiet and private.
