East Coast Aliki

A pleasant stay, Andronis' father is a pleasant host and always ready to help. The beach is one of the quietest on the island. The apartment is functional, new and clean. You should plan to do your shopping before arriving as there is no supermarket within 20 minutes by car. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you Andronis and thanks to his father.

Everything! Amazing new place right next to Aliki. House looks great, facilities are very good. Bed is comfortable, cleaning 1 time at 2 days, some welcome stuff in the fridge. Bathroom is great compared to many other in Greece. Coffee machine. Great view from all the rooms plus access to a small beach at 5 min walk right in front of the room. Host is very nice and helpful. Looking forward to come back. Love it !

Maybe 2 small tips, maybe upgrades for the future. 1. Maybe something at the kitchen window to have full shade in the room in the morning (we covered it with a towel) 2. The cover of the balcony is just bamboo now and it looks great but maybe something on top to be added as one night it rained and the beach clothes left outside to dry were wet of course.

East Coast Aliki is a brand new, small complex of single-storey, self-catering units set in two buildings above a peaceful, stony beach and a picturesque cove. There are two 1-bed 'villas' in one building and, I think, 4, standard rooms set in another building. The plot is not yet completely landscaped and there is no sign, however, the properties are easy to see from the road. The properties are beautifully finished. The facing on the outside of the properties uses the beautiful, glinting silver/white local stone to give a lovely effect. Our 1-bed villa had a direct, uninterrupted view of the sea. The standard rooms were in a building to our left which was set slightly behind us. Adjoining us was the other 1-bed villa. Our villa had one bedroom, a bathroom, a living and dining area and a small kitchen area. Good-sized fridge with thoughtful touches of water and beer included. Ceramic hob with two rings. Kitchen sink. The quality of the furnishings and the finish was excellent. The bathroom was well equipped and the look and feel of the tiles, washbasin and shower were of a high quality. Everything was well-fitted. The beach is a short walk, a matter of minutes and the location is all very peaceful. Very high standard of cleanliness. The Internet was excellent. Hot water was plentiful. Potted plants gave a homely feel. The sofa was large and super comfy. Two air conditioning units which worked very well. Balcony furniture of a high standard. Two beach chairs provided - a thoughtful touch. Tavernas within 5 minute’s walk.

These are small things. We ended up dining in on our only night at the property which, possibly, most people don’t or won’t do. The llving area is very spacious but we would have appreciated a slightly bigger dining table. However, as many will not be dining in that wouldn’t matter. Only one cereal bowl (presumed the other must have been broken). A couple of extra mugs would have been great so that we didn't need to keep washing up. Lightbulb in kitchen did not work. Not related to the property but to bear in mind. No decent supermarket close by. Pick up your provisions elsewhere - good supermarkets in Thassos Town.

A beautifully decorated, spacious villa very close to the sea. We were very happy and the hosts were very friendly. I hope we can come again...

It started with a warm welcome from Andronis, I had let him know it was a special birthday booking so he stocked the fridge with a bottle of Champagne, water, fizzy drinks and some juices which was such a lovely touch. The villa was fantastic, it’s new so everything was super clean and fresh! The view of the bay/beach below was beautiful also. They have a Marshall blue tooth speaker which again was great to connect Spotify to!! The bed is super comfortable and the air conditioning works perfectly! The entire stay we were made to feel welcome and the host is easily contactable by WhatsApp. He speaks, English, Spanish and Greek. Lovely eateries/bars and restaurants are literally a 5 minute walk away as the property is only a 5 minute walk to Aliki beach and I recommend Leónidas as the restaurant to book a table for, the lamb chops were amazing as was the fresh fish! There is a mini market at Aliki beach also so you can restock on drinks! Below the villa is a semi private beach, it’s open to the public but only gets used by a few people which is lovely if you want a quieter beach albeit with pebbles but it’s super clean and the water is great or as previously mentioned you can have the hustle and bustle of sandy Aliki beach or just 2 minutes from the villa is another lovely sandy beach with a small snack bar, you can actually swim/snorkel to it as well. A wonderful experience all round and I was not only impressed but very happy to have booked here! Thank you again to Andronis for a truly exceptional stay at your wonderful property!
