Ocean View Retreat - Stay Orewa

We loved this place - spacious, comfortable and modern fixtures, close to amenities and the beach. You had green tea sachets too. Thank you.

Excellent location - less than one minute walk to the cafes and shops and just across the road from the beach. The property was quite new and in excellent condition: modern kitchen and each bedroom had an ensuite. Being able to park our car in the garage was a big plus. Communication from the host was prompt and welcoming.

We have nothing negative to say about the property. But if you have mobility issues be aware that it is a townhouse split over 3 levels with 2 sets of stairs; no lift.

Great location and easy to access. Very clean and modern. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was very comfortable.

We struggled to get the tv working. When using the streaming services, the programme glitched repeatedly. Even watching live tv was difficult. It would have been handy to have a radio or Bluetooth speaker to use as well.

The location was excellent, being across the road from the stunning Orewa beach and a short walk from shops and cafes. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed.

These are not criticisms, just points to bear in mind when considering this apartment. The main bedroom is much larger than the others, with a dressing room and large bathroom, which makes room allocation uneven for couples travelling together. There are two full flights of stairs to the top 2 bedrooms which could be a problem for some travellers with heavy cases. The keyless entry system and alarm sounds complicated to operate but in fact it is easy and it's great not to have to bother with keys.

The property is exceptional and so well located. It was spotless! Each room has an en-suite plus there is an extra toilet! The property felt spacious and safe. Loved the lounge couches!

The home was comfortable and very clean, all facilities in excellent order. We were very close to the beach access and could walk to cafes etc. THe three bathrooms was a real asset as we were six adults (3 couples) and a toddler

Some more toilet rolls and bags for kitchen rubbish bin would have been useful. Perhaps cleaners/owners are not used to a four day stay with six people. A smallish thing though as it was easy to re stock from supermarket close by.

The stay experience was great, the rooms were clean and tidy. The location is very convenient walking distance to the beach, supermarkets, restaurants.
