NLPalm Grove is a relatively new and upcoming lodge. The property is situated in a convenient location, close to the beach and all the local amenities! The room was very spacious and had all the facilities I could wish for! The fridge was filled with water sachets and water bottles. These come at an extra cost. The manager and concierge are helpful and cleaned my room upon request. The only issue I had is that they were not always available to find.. (I did not have a phone number to contact them). Despite that, I extended my stay and was able to arrange that with the manager without a problem. He had even arranged taxi transportation for me between the lodge and the local airport. And requested a lady to do laundry for me. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would stay here again. Just be aware of many animal noises outside (during the night).
SIVery friendly staff. Spacious room. Good mattress. Relaxing atmosphere.
No wifi but when I insisted, they brought it. No electricity on the days I stayed. This is a problem in Ghana but as a guesthouse you must have a generator to power the fan. I was cooking in bed. The location is right next to goat enclosure and they make loud noises at night, similar to screams :) Bad pillows. Bed sheets and towel unchanged or smelling bad.
DEBusua is a little fishing village not to be missed when in Ghana. If one seeks simple living among the native folks without pretense, that's the place. Palm Grove Resort is by far not a resort, but rather an honest, straight forward and intimate place in one quiet corner at the end of the village. Good AC, permanent water with good pressure and a small kitchen with fridge and a kettle to fix a cup of coffee in the morning. The highlights however, are the 2 men in charge-- Atchue and Kofi. With their attentive and charming mannerism they lighten up one's day right from the early morning hours. The best of their qualities is to be around whenever one needs them, discretely absent, when one craves time alone and privacy. They truly are the epitome of friendliness and helpfulness. Thanx a million, guys!
Nothing!
GBA fan, AC and hot water! Mike was such a kind and welcoming host and the room was super clean and in a great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants, I'll definitely be back.
Nothing at all, everything was great
FIThe staff is very friendly and the room was nice and clean. It's a short distance to the beach. Arriving to the lodge was a bit tricky. Google Maps takes you next to primary school. The lodge is just behind the buildings. You can go next to the school and ask advice from locals.
GHThe hotel was clean in Ghanaian standards. The rooms were nice and water was flowing very well! The location is not far from the beach, you can park at the nearby school. 2 rooms had A/C and 1 room didn't, but it had a fridge. It was a very nice place to stay in Busua, compared to some other hotels around. I'd recommend it!
No breakfast or any other food is available at the hotel, but you can find food outside close by. The pillows were very thick. Some guests found the beds too sturdy, but others loved them. Wifi comes at a fee.
