Excellent layout. Nice big couch to relax. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was amazing. For a home that has had dogs in it, it smelt clean, and I would have never guessed dogs had been there. The heater in the hall way is fantastic! If you're looking for somewhere during the winter, I would recommend this home. We turned it on before going out to take the chill off, and when we returned approx an hour and a half half later, the entire home was beautiful and warm. Over all we had a great stay and I would happily come back!!

Not a dislike, more of a suggestion. Need lamps in the room with the 2 single beds and the main bathroom window was rattling during the night when the wind picked up.

The carpet could have been cleaner in a few spots - but thats not a major.

After a long day of travel of ferry delays and a rough sailing, we arrived to the property with all the essentials a family needed. Due to our delayed sail and rough trip through the cook strait, we had very little time to pick up our morning coffee essentials, so when we arrived, we were so happy to see the little extra touches, such as bedding, soaps, teas and coffee! As well as a little treat for our Stanley (bichon frise shih tzu). We were extremely exhausted with over 11hrs travel and waiting, so we were able to come in, settle everyone and get a good night rest. Beautiful home, very spacious, and catered to our needs. Location was great, not far for the city and to visit our loved one in Akatārawa cemetery before travelling home to Whangārei. We really appreciated a home that could cater for our Stanley who was travelling with us, so thank you very much. Not many places cater to our fur babies. He enjoyed the doggie bed too, although we had his one on board with his, he very much enjoyed the bed offered for his stay.

It took a bit of navigation seeking the dry function for the washer/ dryer, but got there in the end. I was trying to find instructions for the washer/dryer but Google helped also.

totally dog friendly, even left some treats, a bed and toys for our puppy to enjoy. Plenty of space to relax before our ferry.
