Vanwege heftige wind in de nacht stroomde de regen onder de voordeur en zo onder mijn kamerdeur in, waardoor de halve kamer blank stond. Dus neem niet kamer 1 Er kwam geen warm water uit de douche Er was geen wifi ondanks contact met de Klantenservice

Only plus was the location. The best part of the stay was leaving.

My first ever bad review - trust me this was terrible! No hot water for 4 of 5 nights - ignored 2 days of messages that I highlighted this. Only acknowledged once I phoned the emergency contact number. Eventually gave me a replacement room at end of my stay, after I requested a new place, which had black mould above the bed and elsewhere in the room. Another replacement room given to me and yet again more black mould. No hot water in one property and black mould in the replacements. No refund, even partial they say. Terrible experience and my first ever bad review but they certainly earned it. A health hazard and disgraceful to not offer a refund for essentially not providing a service. Hot water and a room that is not a health hazard are mandatory, simple as.

The room was a generous size and my own attached private bathroom also uncramped . With TV , roomheater. Views from the rear of building overlooking the inlet side of peninsula with boats , calmer waters and airport activity were nice , as were front of property views of street , sunsets. Also a benefit of staying here as a solo traveller was that you had some social interaction with other temporary residents, even though privacy was satisfied too with independent rooms/doors. (Even if fleeting small talk , it can be better to speak a little than to endure an extended time non- speaking/relating to others.) Lastly, BUT this is conditional on the time of year you stay, I stayed early winter so prices far cheaper then, but very good value for money if you go in cooler , quieter periods! Also found the Faro beach/peninsula area to be peaceful without ever feeling so much like an isolating/solitary experience which I've felt in other locations. There were some negatives though, as will mention, but overall positives did outway negatives sufficiently. . . . .

I didn't start out on the best foot as My initial attempts to get access to my Room ( n into the building!! ) were stalled by having not yet received the combination for the key safe lock by midday the same day. So I proceeded to the property with intention of hooking up with the WiFi of the property, so I could then check on emails to hopefully find the key safe codes. The WiFi info sent was incorrect, so I couldn't hook up to connect( this was later corrected after my own communication! ) A helpful resident already in helped me out by finding their own connection,but still no email so ended calling the agency helpline for my door key passcode. - In summary communication was late/poor. - What id suggest personally is that a SMS TEXT is sent in addition to any WiFi dependant info, as when in transit you Don't Always Have A Connection!! So all this was unnecessary agrevation. Other more minor thing was; -Please Invest in a proper curtain for the window! The light covering/throw in place didn't much limit light coming in the morning and had very limited capabilities of retaining privacy as was pretty transparent! Also , a full curtain might help with retaining heat in the cold evenings and such a cheap n easy fix for a bit of improvement!
