The Wood Cottage

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The property was really well equipped and so peaceful and comfortable. Dave and Sandra were such wonderful hosts and the choice and quality of the breakfast was amazing! We would 100% stay again whenever we're in the area.

The location was excellent with a superb view from the very large balcony room the breakfast was varied well presented and very tasty and Sandra and David are great hosts who made every effort to make our stay enjoyable

The views from the balcony, really peaceful. Jacuzzi bath was amazing and the bed was really comfortable. David and Sandra are amazing hosts.nothing was too much trouble. Really friendly and approachable. Fantastic breakfast too…would highly recommend this place to anyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No negatives it’s an amazing place!

Quiet location but not to far to drive to local places of interest, there is a bus stop opposite (30 mins to Scarborough)if you don’t fancy driving we had the cabin which was really nice with patio & parking next to the cabin and all with a lovely breakfast with plenty of of choice, there were nice walks around the village and the local butcher has great variety of foods if your cooking in the cabin the hosts David & Sandra were lovely and helpful with wealth of local knowledge what more could you ask for complete with a friendly chicken can’t recommend it high enough

The cabin is just amazing, we absolutely loved our stay. Fully equipped with everything you could need for an independent stay and so beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable too. We didn't need it but the wood burner in the sitting area was good to go if we felt cold and there's good heating if necessary. The house and grounds are stunning too with a great history to the fabulous decor. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of dishes with a choice of serving times. Owners are just so lovely, we were fully entertained each morning which started our day off great. And of course the welcoming committee each morning and whenever we arrived back after a day out - the cutest chicken and duck waiting for us outside the door - loved it!

The cabin was an absolute gem, so lucky to have discovered Wood Cottage. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely big room, very clean with great view. Friendly welcoming hosts. Great breakfast. The spa bath is a bonus

The temperature of the room. We turned off the bedroom radiator, but the bathroom one couldn't be turned down. As the weather was unexpectedly warm, and there was a winter weight duvet on the bed, we were far too warm at night
