Sleeping with the Horses

Beautiful location with horses right outside your door in Icelandic farmland. Perfect spot to see the northern lights. Well appointed and very comfortable stay. All kitchen supplies provided, plenty of bedding, very well decorated.

It is on a gravel road, which was a little nerve wracking with a rental car.

Very nicely built and furnished. The beds were super comfy and the bed lined felt very luxurious. Huge bathroom and a decent kitchenette. The proximity to the horses was an added bonus. Very pleasant stay

The private studio was modern, clean and warm. The surroundings were wonderful and horses were beautiful. There seemed like there were a couple of experiences on the farm you could do, however, we only stayed for 1 night so had no time to do these.

Firstly, the location given on booking.com is completely wrong. It is 20 minutes away from the actual location. When you are arriving in the dark this can be quite scary as you are driving along pitch dark, gravel roads in the middle of no where and there is absolutely no signage. When we did call the host to ask for directions they picked up right away and gave us the right location, but just a suggestion they could update this on the booking.com page to avoid future guests getting lost. We arrived at about 6 and it was quite a strange experience as there was absolutely no one around, it was pitch black, so it was quite eerie and kind of scary. The shops are at least 20 minutes away so make sure you arrive well equipped with everything you need because nothing is provided for you in the kitchen, no milk, no oil. Only some coffee pods and tea. For the price you pay for the accomodation you would think there would be some pleasantries. Not to mention the toilet flush button was broken and you had to stick your finger into the top of the toilet to flush it. In the morning, there was a worker there that was looking after the horses, she was lovely but seemed to have nothing to do with the accomodation. There was also quite a big untrained dog on the property. We love dogs so this was fine for us but just putting this here as a warning to people that do not like dogs. Lastly, I accidentally left my kindle reading tablet at the property, while this is completely my fault, the hosts have been no help in trying to retrieve it. We have messaged them on booking.com, texted and called the number attached to the booking, and even had booking.com customer service reach out to them, and have received 0 response on any of these channels. This has just further contributed to the uneasy feeling we got when we arrived at the property.

Franchement top, je recommande, une de nos meilleures nuit en Islande ! Le logement est super, très bonne taille, les cheveux était tout près de nous. Matelas confortables, chauffage parfait!

J'aurais aimé avoir un peu plus de contact humain, qu'on nous remette les clefs en main propre par exemple. Nous n'avons croisé personne. Bac de douche pas le plus pratique mais c'est vraiment pour dire quelque chose !

Horses were great and we saw the Northern Lights!

Loved being near the horses! The cabin was cute, beautifully decorated with a nice, large bathroom.

Nothing

The location is situated in the heart of flat farmland. The cabins are lovely, brand new, clean, and cozy. The horses were happy to see us! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we only spent one short night there. The views were spectacular. Please note that this location does not provide food, so it's a 15 to 20-minute drive into town, where we found a delicious restaurant. Each cabin is equipped with a full kitchen. We had a bit of trouble finding the place at first, but Google Maps was accurate. However, all the signs are in Icelandic, which made it challenging for us to confirm the office location since we couldn't read the signs.

My only suggestion is to add a sign in English (and other languages) for the name of the hotel at the turnoff and to point to the office.
